Silver subbromide, Ag2Br
Bromine-water reacts with a solution of colloidal silver to form the Silver subbromide, Ag2Br as a brownish-violet powder. Homogeneous mixtures of this substance and silver bromide probably constitute Carey Lea's coloured photobromides.
