Silver arsenate, Ag3AsO4

Silver nitrate reacts with solutions of arsenic acid and arsenates, giving a chocolate-coloured precipitate of silver arsenate containing a small proportion of Silver nitrate, possibly in solid solution. Addition of silver arsenate, Ag3AsO4, to an aqueous solution of arsenic acid precipitates a white, crystalline compound, Ag2O,2As2O5, decomposed by water into silver arsenate and arsenic acid.
